Pinkalicious

The Pink bathroom demo work has begun. Finally, after all the delaying, I have started the "Pink" bathroom. I had so many thoughts racing through my mind about what could go wrong. Mold was the first and obvious concern. I got things moving pretty quick with the help of the best dad a guy could want. After the fixtures were removed we tackled the toilet, floor, shower walls and then the CAST IRON TUB (Thank you sledge hammer and wolf blanket). Everything went so smooth. I was really super excited about the way things worked out. God was smiling down on me. Construction projects never go right for me. So far this has been excellent. After I finished I had my plumber over and he gave me an estimate. This should work out nicely.

Here is the original pink look from 1964

Got started at 7am this morning. I went to bed last night at midnight and didn't sleep much at all. Guess I had alot of stuff running through my head.

This is all cleaned out for the plumber and dry wall guy.

After the all the tile was removed we tackled the tub. About 15 good shots with the 8 pound slege hammer and it was in two pieces. Carrying it down the stairs.....I'm still sore.

Plumber was over today and gave it a look. Shouldn't be to bad to get the new tub in and the surround. He will also replace the valve for the shower and all the drain pipes.

After the tub and shower go in I will have the drywall guy over to put in green board and repair walls. Paint, floor, and vanity installation will follow.
